The next Step: Video

As of today, our products take one picture to create an animated video clip.

Why not take a video clip as input which is basically nothing else than a series of pictures lined-up frame by frame. How about letting the software link every frame from the input video-file on a 1-to-1 base to the frames of the output video-file? And, even more, how about letting the software replace some elements during this conversion? In this case, your selected photograph appears again on the output clip as you already know it - but its movements are driven by the input clip and the result is an augmented video-file:

This technology belongs to the category of "Computervision", which deals with the recognition and identification of objects. The technology processes the video stream directly. The incoming video signal is analyzed, relevant objects are identified (e.g. the speaker), isolated and processed further. The basic technology of this process is known from the Blue Screen-Technologies in the TV and film industry. This way, a person in the active video picture is automatically recognized and punched out.

The process "recognition-tracking-cutting-processing" proceeds frame by frame. The result is a complete RoleChange.
